Hello everyone,

While you're all up to your cracks in snow, I just thought I'd tell you that I'm about 30 minutes from heading to Birmingham for the Classic. I'm sitting here watching bass boats cruise around Lake Wheeler in Decatur, AL. It's only 89 miles to Birmingham. Tomorrow and Sunday I plan to be at the launch and then spend the entire two days at the convention center and weigh-ins.

I really enjoyed my time with the club and hated to have to drop, but with the work schedule that I've had and this pending move to the Chattanooga area, someone else should have the distinct pleasure of fishing (and traveling) with all of you. Once things get settled, I hope to conquer some of these lakes. I met Jeff Reed a few weeks ago and will be spending some quality (paid, of course) time with him in the near future on Chickamauga and Guntersville. You Smallie guys would love it here - I can't tell you how many photos I've seen of 6 and 7 pound Smallies that guys have on their phones and laptops.

Keep in touch. I'll send pics of the first Spot that I catch - if I can ever get enough time off to fish. The boat should be down here in a few weeks!!
